The Legalett GEO-Basement System is designed for Conventional Basement Construction. This is a buried structural slab created for builders who want to utilize their own pre-formed insulated basement slabs . This is especially useful for poor soils and building on fill.

Legalett GEO-Basement can be used when a traditional GEO-Slab on grade is not the best solution. A GEO-Basement (one pour) is an option.  The Legalett GEO-Basement system can also be used inside traditional footings.

The GEO-Basement slab is a pre-engineered structural slab that can be used under most residences and buildings under 4 stories in height. The characteristics of the slab also allows for the installation of your building on poor soils where conventional foundation systems are not adequate or cost prohibitive.

The slab can be constructed with a heated floor option to provide maximum comfort and reduced energy costs.

 

The continuous edge element stay-in-place formwork eliminates thermal bridging and provides maximum air-tightness for your building envelope between the foundation and wall. The slab eliminates multi-step foundation construction by providing the forming, footing, insulation and slab all in one convenient package.
